چکیده
: Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis is autoimmune thyroiditis; it considered as second most common thyroid disorder diagnosed on FNAC following colloid goitre. a reliable and efficient method for diagnosing these lesions. Lymphocytic frequently affects women, primarily compared to men commonly found with hypothyroidism, euthyroidism or every so often hyperthyroidism. The incidence rate of Hashimoto’s 1–4%, an occurrence 30–60/100000 population per year. Autoimmune can be categorised the cytomorphological features FNAC. To compare cytological findings TFT in thyroiditis. One hundred ten patients swellings were presented examination, serology Anti TPO antibodies Ultrasonography during 2020–2021. In addition, fine needle aspiration cytology was performed using non-aspiration techniques. Anti- Avion CLX 120 auto analyser based Chemiluminescence method. Correlation of Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology Findings with Thyroid Function Test in Cases of Lymphocytic Thyroiditis
Background. Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis is the second most common thyroid lesion diagnosed on FNAC after goiter. FNAC is reliable tool in the diagnosis of thyroid lesion. Objective. To correlate FNAC cytologic findings with TFT in the lymphocytic thyroiditis. Methods. 175 patients with thyroid swellings were referred for FNAC as well as TFT during 2011-2013. Fine needle aspiration cytology ...
متن کاملFine Needle Aspiration Cytology versus Fine Needle Capillary Sampling in Cytological Diagnosis of Thyroid Lesions
Background and Objectives: Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is an established out- patient procedure used in primary diagnosis of palpable thyroid lesions. A modified technique fine needle capillary sampling (FNCS) obviates the need of suction, is less painful, patient friendly and reported to overcome the problem of inadequate and bloody specimens. The aim of our study was to compare the...
متن کاملDiagnostic Accuracy of Frozen Section in Comparison With Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology in Thyroid Lesions – A Prospective Study
Background and Objectives: Thyroid gland because of its superficial location is amenable to direct physical examination. Clinical assessment of thyroid lesions by means of physical examination, thyroid scans and ultrasonography is not completely reliable. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is the most cost-effective, safe and an initial diagnostic test in the pre-operative evaluation of thy...

Background: Anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody (anti-TPO antibody) is a member of thyroid autoantibodies which are important in inducing and also diagnosing autoimmune thyroid diseases. Thyroid autoimmunity can cause several forms of thyroiditis and abnormal thyroid functions, ranging from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroidism. Objective: To evaluate the relationship between serum levels of anti-TPO ...
